GCCT-2.0/5.0
Low throughput Automated Water-free Cell Thawing System
The Low throughput (Single Work Position) Automated Water-free Cell Thawing System from GROCELLBIO is designed to replace traditional water baths for thawing frozen cell samples. The GCCT-2.0 and GCCT-5.0 cell thawing devices are specifically engineered for common cryovial volumes of 1.8ml, 2.0ml, and 5.0ml, addressing the need for a more controlled and standardized thawing process.

The Problem with Water Baths in Cell Thawing
The most common method for thawing frozen cell samples involves submerging the cryovial in a 37°C water bath. However, this method has significant drawbacks:
- High risk of contamination: There is a very high possibility of biological sample contamination within the cryovial.
- Non-sterile process: Water baths cannot be used as part of a sterile process.
- Subjective and inconsistent: Different operators may have significant subjective differences in determining the thawing time, tawing status, and endpoint, as the process depends on observation.
- Limited use: The use of water baths is restricted in GMP or clinical environments.
- Lack of integration: The process is non-standardized and non-intelligent, making it impossible to integrate into automated cell culture equipment.

Product Features
The GCCT-2.0 and GCCT-5.0 cell thawing devices overcome the limitations of water baths by providing a safe, standardized, and intelligent solution for cell thawing.
- Safe: There is no presence of water in the entire system. Eliminates the high contamination risk associated with water baths, ensuring sample safety.
- Easy to Operate: The system is user-friendly and can be controlled via both software and physical buttons.

- Standardized: It features built-in programs that ensure a controllable and standardized thawing process, eliminating subjective judgment.
- Intelligent: Users can customize thawing conditions and integrate the instrument into automated cell culture equipment like isolators.
- Real-time Monitoring: When connected to a software, the device records the thawing temperature in real-time at a frequency of 1HZ and displays the temperature curve and data.
- Sample Protection: It has a safety mechanism that includes an emergency stop button and an active heating module that separates from the sample to prevent overheating.
